Madam Speaker, as the Foreign Minister knows the Knesset is currently debating the Removal of Financial Aid Due to Palestinian Terror 2007. As the Knesset knows, I oppose this Bill.
Could the Foreign Minister advise us what damage this Bill will do to The State of Israel if it is passed?

Madam Speaker,
Israeli governmental aid is less then 1% of the Palestinian budget. In fact aid isn't even provided unless absolutely necessary. I'd advise the member how less than 1% would cause damage to Israel when the European union last year cut £500 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Madam Speaker, I thank the Minister for finally answering my question. I do hope that in future it won't take your intervention to achieve answers to further questions.
I understand what the Minister is saying. But does this government not realise.....or even think that....no matter how small the contribution we give to Palestine, the simple fact that we would be willing to cut it has a greater impact than if the EU halted their aid?

Madam Speaker,
No because Israel barely or rarely even gives aid to the Palestinian Authority to begin with. There's no impact if Israel rarely gives aid to begin with. I don't think the member even understands that no foreign aid has no impact on how the Palestinians regard Israel.

It isn't me that doesn't understand the situation Madam Speaker.
Is the Foreign Minister not concerned at to what damage this Bill will do in our standing in the International Community, if it is passed?

Madam Speaker,
With whom? Did it damage the international standing of the European Union when they ceased funding the Palestinian Authority due to terrorism? I again state Israel does not provide the Palestinian Authority with aid, this is a very easy concept. I think it's highly ironic, the member believes in targeted assassination of terror heads but doesn't realize this incurred mass condemnation and protests by the international community. So the member will continue to present hypotheticals but there is and has been no damage to Israel's standing in the international community, if in fact peace negotiations mediated by the US will begin and came about due to this government's presentation of the Anti-Palestinian terror bill. Unless she has direct evidence, I will continue to provide the same answer to her. One based on fact rather than daydreams of the Labor member.
